A little about me...
When my boyfriend and I moved into our new apartment in November, we were so excited to get a pet because we had always been in situations where we weren't allowed to have pets. We began going to meet cats that we saw online at different shelters, but each time the kitties would already be adopted. When we were starting to feel discouraged, we stumbled across Gifford Cat Shelter. We met with each kitty in the building, petting and playing with them to get a sense for their unique personalities. Then we met Orca and Yogi Bear-- the most adorable brother-sister combo you ever did see. They were sound asleep on the cat tower, cuddling with each other. We didn't want to wake them, but really wanted a chance to meet with them, so I gingerly stroked Yogi's back before picking him up and holding him in my arms. Not only was he perfectly content, but he shut his eyes and fell right asleep as a stranger held him. Orca was just as sweet-- chirping and purring with every stroke of her silky fur. We knew right away they were perfect. When we finally brought them home, they settled right in and since then, they have filled every one of my lonely moments with laughter and joy. We could not have gotten any luckier with these two cats, and even though we initially planned on getting just one, now we can't imagine having any less than two.
