A little about me...
Rescued from a cat shelter in Jamaica Plain in 2009 (a terribly rainy Saturday night in March, I nearly didn't go). But as soon as I saw him I KNEW he was special, a Bombay, and not a black cat like most people thought. Sadly Onyx passed away on 5th July 2018 at 10:30 (he was about 10) due to cancer.
He and I were "symbiotically linked" like no other cat I've that have the privilege of being a guardian for before. A part of him still lives within me, and a part of me went with him. I have still not gotten over his passing, but I still have Ralphie who takes care of me (he is very camera shy). This picture was taken by a work colleague (Alan McClelland) who's hobby was pro-level photography.
Being of Burmese origin Onyx used to be a handful and regularly ripped my furniture ... normal for Burmese whom I've lived with all my life ("if you like your stuff, then do not have a Burmese" was a phrase I've heard many times, and it's true). I submit this in tribute to Onyx for whom I miss more dearly than words can describe.
