Please give a brief story about your pet – was it a rescue, hard-luck story, special needs, etc
I adopted Chichi from the Gifford Shelter after getting a concussion from a car accident. I was extremely limited in what I could do each day and couldn't work. As a result, my mental health took a turn for the worse.
That's when I adopted this very distinguished boy that you see here. He came to the shelter after being with his owner for 8.5 years, who sadly had to surrender him due to financial hardship from COVID.
I knew I wanted to adopt a cat who would have a harder time getting adopted, and Chichi and I bonded right away.
He may be considered a "senior cat" by the vet, but he is still very active and will tell you when there's a hole in his food bowl no matter the time of day. He is my absolute best friend and I'm so glad we could save each other.
