Please give a brief story about your pet – was it a rescue, hard-luck story, special needs, etc
Gi-Ne "Gigi" lived at a the Humane Society in Potsdam, NY for a year and a half before we met- she was 8 years old and had been surrendered due to financial reasons. I was warned by the shelter that she could be aggressive and bite people, and told that she had to be in a cage because she couldn't get along with the other cats. Despite her supposed "cattitude problems" she seemed incredibly sweet to me. She rubbed her head up against my hand through the cage and started purring, and I took her home that day. She is one of the friendliest, happiest cats I've ever met, and she's never met another human she didn't love.
