Please give a brief story about your pet – was it a rescue, hard-luck story, special needs, etc
Bishop was a rescue from a bad situation - he was sick, shy and scared when he arrived at Gifford. Due to a viral infection, both his eyes had to be removed. Angel (also a Gifford alum) and I first fostered Bishop so that he could get used to a life without eyes. Then we of course had to keep him. He is the bravest boy! He now walks up/down stairs, jumps in and out of bed and purrs up a storm at bed time. He even charmed Angel into liking him! Watching him play and purr is a true treasure and a daily treat for me.
