Butler

Please give a brief story about your pet – was it a rescue, hard-luck story, special needs, etc
Butler is a feral cat rescued by a friend from the streets of Fall River. He is named in honor of Malcom Butler who won the Super Bowl the day before we adopted him. He had been abused as a kitten and shot with buckshot before we got him. Understandably he was terrified of me when I first met him when he was about 9 months old but he refused to scratch, bite or growl at me and I suspected that underneath the fear was a gentle sweet cat waiting to come out. Although it took some time I was not disappointed. Today Butler is a happy, friendly, affectionate kitty who loves his humans, his adopted brothers and his home.
