Please give a brief story about your pet – was it a rescue, hard-luck story, special needs, etc
I met Lewis at the Gifford shelter in May, and came to visit him every day for ten days until I could take him home.

We think he was a street cat for 4+ years, and he has the food obsession, sassy attitude, and scars to match.

He’s got so many extra toes on every foot (and loves to grab people with them), and isn’t afraid to meow his heart out when he’s hungry (which is always).

Naming him with Jen from Gifford Shelter, Lewis is named after Lewis Hamilton the Formula 1 driver. It’s an apt fit, as Lewis is always doing sprints around the house at all times of day (if he’s not napping in the sun)!

He’s been a joy in my life 🩷
