Please give a brief story about your pet – was it a rescue, hard-luck story, special needs, etc
Kovu was 10 months old when we adopted him from Gifford. He was shy, timid, and strayed away from attention. He hated to be pet, but adored his kitty friends. After reaching out to Gifford, I learned that he had multiple failed meet & greets due to his lack of enthusiasm towards humans, and my heart ached to give this boy a home.
Nearly a year later, Kovu is thriving at home with his three siblings. He’s vocal, playful, and recently began asking for pets! He has been a challenge for sure, as I am a new cat owner, but I couldn’t be happier with my decision to adopt him. He still struggles to trust, and he despises strangers, but he has made leaps and bounds and is becoming more comfortable every day! I’m so proud of him!
