Rules
Entering the Contest
- This contest is open to anyone. Your photo does not have to be of a cat rescued by and adopted through For the Love of Cats. Photos of any kitties from any background are welcome.
- The minimum donation for entering a submission is $25 per photo. You may enter as many photos as you desire.
- All entries are required to list the name of the cat(s) pictured in the photo and a short bio.
- Digital photos are recommended. Photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution and submitted via the contest website submission form.
- Hard copies may be entered by mail but this is discouraged. Please contact us to see if we can assist you in submitting a digital image. Photos sent via mail will not be returned.
- Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and will be open to voting by the public.
- People are not allowed in your photo, though the image may contain another companion pet in addition to the featured cat. Your photo may contain more than one cat.
- The same cat can be entered into the contest multiple times, but votes will not be combined across multiple entries of the same cat. Each photo earns votes separately.
- Cats must be depicted in a safe environment setting in all entries.
- Photos must either feature pets owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image.
- We cannot accept copyrighted professional photos or any photos that have been digitally manipulated or altered.
- Once entered, photos become the property of For the Love of Cats and may be used for online, print, and marketing purposes.
- We reserve the right to decline publication of any photography for any reason.
Miscellaneous Info
- Entries may be submitted from APRIL 1, 2017 at 12:00 AM EST until JUNE 10, 2017 AT 11:59:59 PM EST.
- Donations are non-refundable and fully tax-deductable as permitted by law. For the Love of Cats is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All entrants will receive email receipts for their contributions.
- By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless FLC and each of their officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
- The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
Online Voting
- Voting by the general public is available for a $1 donation per vote.
- We encourage you to email the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your entry.
- Persons may submit as many votes for as many photos as they wish.
- All votes will be periodically tabulated and displayed on the contest website. There may be a temporary delay in displaying the most recent tabulations.
- Voting begins on APRIL 1, 2017 at 12:00 AM EST and ends on JUNE 10, 2017 at 11:59:59 PM EST*.
- Due to limitations of our automated tabulation system, there can be up to a 15 minute delay between when a donation is received/recorded and when it is reflected in the leaderboard on the contest website. All gifts received before 11:59:59 PM EST on June 10, 2017 will be honored. The leaderboard results are official.
*The ending time for online voting will be solely determined by the host website's server. Keep in mind that your clock may differ from the clock that determines the ending time, depending on your time zone.
Calendar Photo Selections
- The 2018 Glamour Puss Calendar Cover Winner will be decided by a panel of judges on JUNE 12, 2017.
- 36 other photos to be featured in the calendar will be selected by a panel of judges. Their selections will be based on voting totals, quality and content. The Judge's decisions are final.
- Judges will consider voting totals, quality and content to select the overall winner.
- All other photos entered will be included in the calendar as thumbnails or part of a collage.
