Lucy was our first foster from GLWR. Shortly after she arrived, we lost our 5 year old Harley to sudden cardiac arrest, so she became our first foster failure. She was 11 months old from a high kill shelter in Kentucky and only weighed 38 lbs. Although she was HW negative when tested at the shelter, it takes awhile to show positive in such a young dog, so by the time she was tested again, she was a HW positive and at high risk to succumb to the treatment or the disease itself. It was devastating to think we might loose her. She is now 65 lbs and our little firecracker. Here she is in the forest being "squirrel girl". We are so lucky to have Lucy and two others - Morpheus and Mister from GLWR!!
