Presley was our first weim and made us fall in love with the breed. She was the most sweet, loving and loyal dog we had ever encountered. While she wasn’t allowed to sit on furniture, she loved to sit on her tail end on the couch, leaning against a human while she dozed off. Every night, she had to be tucked in under a blanket and, if we forgot, she would find a way to cover herself up. We lost this precious girl last October, just shy of her 13th birthday. Because of her, we insisted on rescuing a weim in her honor and I came across the great things Great Lakes Weim Rescue is doing. A month later we made the 8 hour trip from Kentucky and brought home our newest addition, Memphis (previously Olivia), who came from a puppy mill. We look forward to rescuing from GLWR in the future!
