Your Pet's Bio or Adoption Story
Dakota moved into his Furever Home last October 12th, after enjoying one month with his wonderful foster mom Corey Petersen of Good Karma Pet Rescue. I had been looking for almost two months on petfinder.com and put in an application the first day he was featured. I was pleased with how quickly Stacey from Good Karma contacted me. Since two other rescues were taking a life time to respond. It was all meant to be though, because I am truly blessed to have Dakota in my life. It is my understanding that he came to Good Karma with a skin allergy due to a flea infestation, requiring his back to be totally shaved, and the microvalve heart condition typically associated with the Maltese breed. He was a stage 4 out of 6. But as you can see, Dakota is doing quite well with a full coat and his heart condition is now a stage 3 out of 6! He loves long walks, golf cart rides, car rides, dinner and treat time, and getting groomed (thank God!!). Dakota and I thank Corey Petersen for the Tender Loving Care she gave him, and for deciding he and I were a good match Furever!!
