Celebrating Pyrs, Pyr-Mixes, and some Friends
Welcome to our 3rd Annual Photo Calendar Fundraiser! OK, admit it! You have the most gorgeous and cleverest Great Pyrenees ever, or maybe your Pyr has a personality like no other and always makes you laugh or smile or roll your eyes. Well, here's your chance to prove it. Enter your Pyr's picture here ($10 registration fee includes 2 votes to start your Pyr's campaign), and then promote your family, friends, coworkers and social media followers to vote early and often to win one of 13 coveted spots in our 2025 calendar. The top vote getter will appear on the cover of the calendar!
This is our third year to run this fundraiser, so here are some pointers:- NEW! Entries can include either adopted family pets or GPCWP fostered rescues.
- If your Pyr has a canine or feline companion, please feel free to include them in the photo if it is one of your favorites.
- Photos of canine pets of other breeds can also be submitted as contest entries.
- Please make sure your photos are of high enough quality to produce well. The better the resolution, the nicer the photograph will reproduce on the calendar page.
- The more you promote your participation in the contest (at work, with friends, with social media, etc.), the better chance to win one of the top 13 spots…and the more our rescued Pyrs benefit. Votes are $1 each.
- Calendars make popular holiday gifts! Who can resist a big white fluffy dog smiling at you every morning?
- No people should appear in the photos, to protect their privacy.
- In case of a tie, the winners will be included even if two Pyrs share the "Pyr of the Month" title.
- All photos submitted will be included in the calendar (but in smaller size)
Prizes
Top 13- The Great Pyrenees with the most votes will be featured on the calendar cover.
- The next 12 highest vote getters will be slotted as "Pyr of the Month".
- All 13 Pyrs, Pyr-mixes and non-Pyr canine pets will be named.
Consolation Prize (all others)- Smaller photos featured throughout the calendar (location dependent on number of entries).
Want to Guarantee Your Pyr's Photo in the Calendar?
Reserve a day to honor your Great Pyrenees. For a $15 donation, your dog's photo will appear on the day of your choice (birthday, anniversary, adoption date). Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come, first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available. You can enter the same or a different photo for the date blocks, and you need not enter the contest if you just want your Pyr's picture on the calendar.

For those persons whose Pyrs crossed the Rainbow Bridge this past year, we will include a special memory page. For a $15 donation, your dog's portrait photo will appear with a short paragraph about his/her life in a larger tribute block (size based on number of entries received).
