Adoption or Rescue Story
Near our house on Minnesota Avenue was a home with dozens of cats. Back when the County annexed the the land for the new Human Services and County Administration Building, the family moved, taking most of the cats with them. Buster apparently missed the boat because he ended up living under my covered lawn furniture ( heated by the dryer vent) for the winter. I was unaware that he was there, but my young children fed him. In the spring he climbed the tree into my son's bedroom. Practically wild and an un-neutered male, it was tricky to get him to trust me to take him to the vet. They checked him out--a two year old- shaved the dreadlocks and neutered him. He returned to the family where he lived for 20 years. He would give you the "razzberries" when you would stop petting him.
