Adoption or Rescue Story
Meerick, a barn cat, was taken in by an older gentleman who had never had pets. When the young cat played a little rough, the man thought he was feral and turned him in to be euthanized. One of the assistants got permission to try and find him a home and called me because I keep Siamese cats--his eyes are bright blue. I was leaving for a trip and asked if he could be fostered until I got back. I needed to see if he fit into the existing family of cats. I took him home for a trial and he quickly found his way into the order of things. A well muscled 17-pounder, he is the biggest cat I have ever owned. Although, I use the word ownership loosely--he is part Siamese after all.
