Rules
Submitting Photographs
- You can submit as many photographs as you want
- Online: To submit photos online, click on the Participate tab above and follow the directions to upload a photograph of your dog. Online entries must be received by September 4, 2018, 11:59:59 PM EST
- By submitting a photo you affirm that you are the photographer or own the unrestricted rights to use the photo, and you agree to allow Green Capes LC and/or the Green Capes Trust Foundation to use the photo, without compensation, for publication in print and/or online
Voting
- It costs $1.00 (CDN) to vote, and you can vote as many times as you want – you can also share on social media and encourage your friends and family to vote for your photo!
- You must purchase a minimum of 5 votes at a time, but you can distribute your votes one at a time and over as many photos as you choose. You can also "bank" your votes for use at a later time
- There are no refunds for unused votes
Eligible Photos
- Puppy must have been a future Dog Guide at the time the photo was taken (i.e. both past and present pups accepted)
- Puppy does not need to be in jacket
- Focal point of photo must be clear and in focus
- You can submit photos of any resolution or size
- We reserve the right to remove any photos that we deem to be inappropriate
Calendar Photo Selections
- The top 6 photos by number of votes are guaranteed inclusion in the calendar as a full-size calendar month feature OR inset in the calendar on the pictured pup's birthday; the Green Capes LC editorial committee will give consideration to ALL submissions for placement in the calendar
- The top photos #7 to #35 will be featured prominently in a collage in the calendar
- The Green Capes LC editorial committee will give consideration to the number of votes cast, photo resolution, composition, artistic and technical merit, and the overall cohesiveness of the calendar in its entirety when making selection decisions. Final selection and placement will be revealed in the fall at a calendar launch event
- Only high-quality photos (250 dpi @ 12" x 12") will be considered for full-size monthly photos; lower resolution photos will be considered for inclusion in the calendar grid pages
