Squid became my dog during the second semester of my freshman year of college, when he was only five weeks old. I rescued him while living in a dorm, expecting a small puppy and quickly realizing he was going to grow much bigger than anyone anticipated. From day one, Squid was pure love. Growing up on a college campus turned him into a social butterfly—he quickly became a campus favorite, greeting students like old friends and brightening stressful days with his goofy personality. Squid is sweet, playful, and endlessly fun, always finding a way to make people laugh without trying. Through college and every chapter since, he has been my constant and my best friend.
