$10 per photo entry - an entrant may submit multiple photo submissions during the contest period, provided that each submission is original and unique.
Contest open to all, please note entrants must be available in the Austin or surrounding areas to win prizes. Prizes are non transferable.
Winner announced and contacted on November 1st. Grand Prize winner chosen by the most votes! Encourage your friends and family to vote for your Halloween decor - $1 per vote. All entry and voting fees go to our HBD beneficiaries.
Photos must contain front door, entryway, mantel, front yard or area of similar size with Halloween décor, entrants and/or entrant's pets. This is to ensure photos are original.
Costumes, themes and makeup encouraged but not required. Have fun with it!
Please keep the photos in the spirit of Halloween.
All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, political views, religious views or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
No indecent or obscene material, no content or material that is illegal, contains nudity or is sexually explicit, or by law, obscene, profane or pornographic.
By entering the contest, each entrant agrees that entrant's submission conforms to the rules and guidelines as defined. Halloween By Design, in its sole discretion, may remove any submission and disqualify an entrant from the contest if it believes that the entrant's submission fails to conform to the rules and guidelines.
Providing a submission constitutes entrant's consent to give HBD a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display such submissions in whole or part, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media, or technology, for any purpose whatsoever, including for promotional or marketing purposes.
For clarity, by providing a submission, entrant also consents to give HBD a license to use entrant's name, image, and likeness as included in the submission on the same foregoing terms.
Photo guidelines:- All photos must be original, meaning you may only enter photographs that you took and for which you own the copyright.
- Photo submissions may be in horizontal or portrait format.
- Photos must be submitted in JPEG or PNG format. Non-digital formats are not accepted.
- HBD reserves the right to crop photos.
- Images must not include added seasonal images, texts, emojis, or borders.
- Digitally manipulating photos (i.e. cloning, compositing, intense filters, etc.) should be kept to a minimum. Your photograph must authentically depict the setting as you saw it when you took the photograph.
