My beagle’s story or bio
Nutmeg was an Envigo beagle. She was rescued by the BeFreegle Foundation in August of 2022 and was one of 14 beagle puppies taken in by the rescue. If the Envigo breeding facility had not been closed down she would have been sold to a lab for medical research. Nutmeg was one of the lucky ones who never had to endure that awful life. However, she will always live with a tattoo on her ear as a reminder of what could have been. When I went to volunteer at BeFreegle I fell in love with all of the pups, but when Nutmeg woke up from a nap she made her way over to me and made herself comfortable in my lap. At that moment I knew I had to adopt her and that I would love her forever. Next month we celebrate her one year anniversary with us!
