At 15 years old, Caramel was abandoned and left outside overnight, tied to a pole behind a store with a note attached to him asking someone to take care of him. Luckily, he was found by a good person the next morning and was immediately taken to a shelter. After weeks and weeks of waiting in the shelter with no one coming to claim him, he was transferred to Happy’s Place. While in their care, Caramel had all his vetting updated, was given a dental to extract 9 rotten teeth plus a cleaning for his remaining teeth, and was groomed. Unfortunately, likely due to the lack of proper care in his past, he is deaf as a result of growths in both his ears that have completely covered his ear canals. Nevertheless, Caramel deserves to feel loved and cared for during his golden years, and we feel truly honoured to have been chosen as his adoptive family. We will love him fur-ever!
