There isn't enough room here to possibly say how much joy this little deaf English Setter has brought to my life. Gavin turns 6 in August and he was such a sick little puppy when he came into the IBR program in 2010. He clearly had some autistic behaviors and as he went from foster to foster- he finally came to me in an effort to save his life. He did show red flags for tick borne disease in his blood work and the only thing that saved him was my stubbornness- force feeding him, detoxing his liver and a year of donated tetracycline. As his liver healed- his brain healed and slowly he became a normal silly and of course snarky Setter. He is brilliant off leash- has a solid nose for birds and sleeps next to me every night. Can he be any cuter? Vote for Gavin!
