My precious precious Buckwheat-- how do I love the-- let me count the ways! I am actually tearing up when I think about the last 14 years together. Buckwheat is my link to Westleigh and Thelmalou-- the Pointer and Setter that helped me start this little rescue. As Buckwheat nearly died from Parvo at 10 weeks-- when he thankfully recovered and as he clearly fit into my little pack, I became a failed foster. YAY!!! For fun I put a hunting title on my Weeters, and he also ran in dog agility for a time. For the last 9 years since Westleigh passed, Buckwheat has been my co pilot and working companion in my pet sitting business. My wish for anyone that adopts from Illinois Birddog Rescue is that you have a dog into their teens- and enjoy the bond I have with my special little guy. Vote for Buckwheat!!
