Bette was found as a stray in Southern Illinois a few months ago. She was probably dumped and looked like she had been bred a few times. She was also very thin. Illinois Birddog Rescue found a temporary foster home where she got her blood work done that revealed she was fighting Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. We could tell she was starting to feel better a few weeks after she started treatment and then moved to her new home in Michigan. It didn't take long for her to settle in and become a failed foster dog- meaning she found her new forever home. Donations help us help these dogs get important life saving blood work done and also helps us get the medications they need.
