Mitch, my IBD rescue made it clear he wanted a sibling. It stared when I helped out a friend by having her dog, another English Setter stay for a week with us. After that dog left Mitch would wander around looking for her.

With no rescue dogs available I reached out to Good Going Kennels where I purchased my first setter and inquired about litters with puppies available. There was, so last March Indigo joined the family.

Mitch is a wonderful big brother; he taught her the house rules, continually shows her he is the boss, but he is also very protective of her. Indigo has been a great addition as she has taught Mitch the joy of being outside and running around the yard. He has lost five pounds and is a very happy and healthy guy.
