Buddy came from a horrific hoarding situation, where there were over 25 dogs that were kept in a small chicken coop. They were horrifically abused by their abusers. The dogs were saved by Animal Control. A small Rescue took Buddy in, but he was at the Rescue for over a year because Buddy had never been socialized. He was scared of everything and everybody. At the same time this was going on, I was going through severe depression, where I was suicidal. I was 6 years clean and sober, but I felt so lost. My Therapist suggested I go Rescue a little dog, so I'd feel like I had companionship with a living being. So, I decided to go to our local Rescue. When I locked eyes on Buddy, I knew he was the one who would change my life forever and who would give me a purpose in life.
