My husband and I were at the same intersection in separate cars when we witnessed a little orange kitty squirming around the middle of the intersection. We both got out, asked a local business for a shoe box, and took him home. When Haven Humane opened, we took him in. He was hurt, but recovered well, thanks to Haven Humane's fantastic vets. A few days later, we visited him, and immediately knew he was meant to be ours. We surprised our three young daughters with our first family pet, which they'd been begging for for years! We all agreed on "Simon" as his name, to which they insisted on his full name being Simon Says. He is the only boy in our home, our favorite boy, and is wildly loved by all of us. We are so thankful to Haven Humane for completing our family.
