Rules

Photo submissions and voting will be open June 1 through June 30, 2019 at noon (Hawaii–Aleutian Standard Time).


Hawaiian Humane Society staff and winners within the last five (5) years are eligible to enter but are ineligible to win grand prizes.


Entrants may enter as many photos as they would like for a $25 donation per entry. Entries must be submitted online by noon HST on June 30, 2019. Photo Guidelines

• No people, just pets.
• Photos may contain more than one pet.
• Enter as many photos as you want.
• Photo must be available in a high-resolution file, at least 300 dpi and 1 megabyte in size.
• Must be in a horizontal format.

There is a minimum of five (5) votes at the time of voting. Pets will receive one vote for every $1 donated to their picture. Votes that are purchased after the voting deadline of June 30, 2019 at noon (Hawaii–Aleutian Standard Time), cannot be applied and are non-refundable.

Use the "share" button on your pet's public page to share your entry through Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites. You may also email links to family and friends to encourage voting for your pet's photo.

The Hawaiian Humane Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Each donation supports the over 30 programs the Hawaiian Humane Society provides for the community and its animals. All donations are non-refundable. Please save the transaction email for your tax records.

How to vote by mail:
We must receive your votes in the mail by June 28, 2019. You must include the following with your donation:

• Owner's First & Last Name
• Pet's Name
• Your Phone Number in case we have questions
• Your email if you would like to receive a donation receipt

You may mail in your photo for entry. We can accept 4" x 6" prints or larger. Refer to the above Photo Guidelines to ensure your photo is eligible for calendar consideration. Photos must be received in the mail by June 28. To submit your photo and officially be counted as an entry, you must include the following information:

• Cash or check with full entry donation amount
• First & Last Name
• Pet's Name
• Phone Number
• Email

When you enter the Pets in Paradise™ Calendar Contest, you warrant that the photograph is original, that you are the sole owner and copyright holder of that photograph, and that you have not granted exclusive rights of that photograph to any other person or entity. With regard to any image or content submitted, you agree to grant the Hawaiian Humane Society the right and permission to use, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish, and distribute the photograph.
