Every entrant will have five chances to be selected by the Hawaiian Human Society as a Pet of the Month feature, and every photo that meets the photo requirements will be included in the calendar! The other eight months will be awarded a Pet of the Month feature by winning the below.
Category Winners
The photo with the most votes in each category will receive the following:- Featured as the Pet of the Month for one of the 13 months in the 2023 calendar
- Photography session with a professional photographer and digital copies of the photos. All photography sessions must be completed in July 2022. Photo shoots are only available on the island of Oʻahu. If you are unavailable in July, the next winner will be awarded the photo shoot.
- A custom digital drawing of your entry photo by artist David Anderson
- Hawaiian Humane Society Branded T-Shirt
- One complimentary calendar
The photo with the second most votes in each category will receive the following:- Featured as the Pet of the Month for one of the 13 months in the 2023 calendar

Top Overall Vote Winner
The photo that receives the most votes overall will be able to pick which month their pet is featured.
Pet of the Month Awards
The five entrants whose photos are chosen by the Hawaiian Humane Society for a monthly feature will receive one (1) complimentary 2023 Pets in Paradise Calendar.
