Who can enter the contest?Anyone with a pet! Photos must be of a pet, alive or deceased. It's preferred that submitted images be holiday and or winter photos.
Why enter the contest?Because you think your pet is the cutest! Plus, your entry fee of $10 helps to provide necessary medical treatment, surgeries, temporary shelter and essential programs for animals in need.
Who can vote?Everyone! Tell your family, friends, co-workers, neighbours and your social networks. Share it far and wide! The more votes you receive, the higher your chances of winning. Plus, every vote equals $1 that will help fund essential animal welfare programs and services.
What are the prizes?. The top fundraiser in each category (cat, dog, small animals*) will be awarded with having their photo on the front of a HBSPCA holiday card, plus prizes from
PetMax,
Kristen Avery Photography and
Mabel's Labels. *Small animals include hamster, rat, bird, etc.
Can I be disqualified? The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the animal or persons in a photo. The registration fee, and any funds from votes will not be refunded.
What happens with my pet's entry once it's been uploaded? By agreeing to the waiver, you will also acknowledge and give permission to the HBSPCA to use the name, story and photo of the animal entered in future publications and materials, including the 2021 holiday card(s).
