Toby is a 5-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a heart as big as his bark. Adopted from Rhode Home Rescue (a foster failure), he goes from growly guard dog to full-blown Casanova—pawing for affection and showering everyone with kisses. When he’s not strutting on walks, snoozing in sunlight, or savoring treats, he’s playing foster brother to pups in need. Though he’d prefer to keep his mom all to himself, he’s helped welcome 18 foster dogs and counting. Toby’s loyalty and love make him the soul of our rescue journey. I couldn’t do it without him.
