Thunder was found alone in a mountain town in Puerto Rico, and was believed to have been abandoned. They said he "rescued himself" when a driver came across him in the road during a thunderstorm. She opened her car door to him, and he jumped in. The rescuer named him Thunder, and his new forever family let him keep his heroic namesake (even though he is scared of loud noises). Thunder has a gentle soul that tries to befriend all living things. The first video we ever took of him was him trying to play with a cricket, and to this day his "butterfly soul" shines bright in his big brown eyes. Thunder is very food motivated, loves his stuffed bone and duck (Bonesy and Ducky respectively), and loves napping in Sherpa lined blankets after all of his adventures.
