Pepsi is believed to have been a stray from South Carolina. She was a bit of a medical mess, with rickets and cherry eye sewn up with fishing line. At around 1 year old she was only 25 pounds. She was timid and we carried her up and down 3 flights of stairs because she had a leg injury as well, for weeks. We weren't sure what we had gotten ourselves into! Flash forward to now, she is an amazing family guardian, weighing in at 55 pounds and in great shape for an almost 10 year old pooch! She has a big personality with a lot to say, but she's mostly satisfied as long as she gets her peanut butter treat at bed time. We don't know her DNA, because she's just perfect and it's fun to hear guesses...leaving a bit of mystery to this ol' lady. She definitely rescued us and ALMOST completes our family!

Pepsi has a 1 year old pitbull sister named Olive, and although she's not from an official organization, she was a homeless puppy from a large litter who needed a home immediately. The temporary foster parents cared for them from their own funds and out of the kindness of their hearts. Rescuing animals can be a challenge, but the reward for your furry companion is all worth it! These two complete our crazy life and make it that much better with their loyalty, silliness and love. We truly don't deserve dogs.
