This part-time supermodel, full-time gentle giant, is Jake. He is a 23-year-old, 16.1 hand Percheron-Cross who has been a cherished member of the H.E.L.P. herd since 2010. As the longest-tenured rider-carrying horse in our program Jake is a true icon - known for his sweet nature, gentle spirit, and unwavering support for every rider he carries, myself included.

Over the years, Jake has supported countless riders with patience and care, helping them grow in confidence and ability, overcome challenges, and experience the joy of horsemanship. He is a seasoned show veteran, having proudly carried many participants and earned numerous medals. His calm demeanor and dependable nature make him a favorite among instructors, judges, and riders alike.

With his striking good looks and commanding presence, Jake turns heads wherever he goes. Even more impressively, he stays humble. He also keeps an ever-watchful eye on his spunky sidekick, our beloved spokespony, Bubbles, assuming the role of big brother and protector.

Jake is a truly invaluable and irreplaceable member of the herd - gentle, steadfast, and endlessly supportive. I'm deeply grateful for this living legend and the many lives he continues to touch with his quiet strength and kind heart.
