Contest Overview
For Participants:
All contestants must submit their photo through the Heritage Foundation's GoGo Photo Contest webpage. We cannot accept applications or photos in-person. All contestants must be entered in the competition by Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11:59 PM CST.

  • Online Entries: Begin Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 8:00 AM CST and end Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11:59 PM CST
  • Entry Fee: There is NO entry fee. Entering the contest is completely FREE!
  • Registration Information: Contestants will be prompted to provide the following information/items when registering (NOTE: this information will not be visible to the public; however the Foundation reserves the right to use the info about your costume to help promote your entry and/or the contest, in general.):
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email Address
    • Mailing Address
    • Entry Photo
    • Category (see details below)
    • A short paragraph (limited to 125 words) which tells voters something fun or interesting about your costume.
    • As we prepare to bring Pumpkinfest back in 2021, we're interested to know what your favorite Pumpkinfest activity has been in the past or what new elements you'd like to see in the festival!
  • Categories: Entrants will be prompted to select one of the following categories when entering the contest:
    • Pets (Any and all pets welcome)
    • Children (Ages 0 – 17)
    • Adults (Ages 18+)
    • Groups (Two (2) or more people and/or pets)
  • Eligible Entry Photos:
    • Acceptable picture file types are .jpg, .png and .gif.
    • Pictures should only feature the contestant(s) being entered in the contest. Please do not submit a picture that has ancillary people or pets in the photo.
    • Pictures must be in color.
    • Pictures may not be edited or altered, other than minor color, contrast or sharpness adjustments.
    • Pictures must be property of the contestant and must not be copyrighted.
    • Any image that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, obscene or incompliant with the Heritage Foundation's core values, as determined by Foundation staff, may be removed and disqualified from the contest.
  • Tips to Help You Win! Use the social media links within the contest to share and promote your costume to your friends and family and encourage them to share on their social media pages as well! Remember, the more people who know about your entry, the more likely you are to win!
  • Winners: Winners will be determined by the most amount of votes/donations in each category. Winners will automatically appear on the contest page following the closing of voting on Tuesday, November 3. On Wednesday, November 4, a Heritage Foundation staff member will reach out via email and/or phone to help arrange the pick-up of receipt of the winner's prize. (See prize page for more information on prizing.)

For Voters:
  • Online Voting: Begins Friday, October 9, 2020 at 8:00 AM CST and ends Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11:59 PM CST
  • Donate-to-Vote: This contest is a donate-to-vote contest, meaning that $1.00 = 1 vote, and the more votes/donations a contestant has, the more likely they are to win. In addition, we will also have a "vote bank." You will not have to use your credit card each time you vote; you may use the votes in your bank to vote. Any votes left in your bank when the voting period ends on November 2, 2020 will be donated to the Heritage Foundation.
  • Winners: Winners will be determined by the most amount of votes/donations in each category. Winners will automatically appear on the contest page following the closing of voting on Tuesday, November 3.

Other Details
  • Consent and Photo Release: As a contestant or legal guardian of a contestant, by submitting your application to participate you are giving permission to the Heritage Foundation and its divisions (Downtown Franklin Association and The Franklin Theatre) and partners (City of Franklin, Visit Franklin) to use your and/or your child's and/or pet's image and likeness for promotional purposes (email, website, social media, etc.).
  • Data Privacy: The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County respects your privacy and confidentiality of your data. You may receive promotional emails from our organization or divisions, but we will not share your information with any third parties.
  • Tax Deductions: All money donated is tax-deductible. The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donors will receive a receipt by email.
  • Prizing: The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County will make every effort to deliver on the prizes outlined above, but the organization also reserves the right to change the prizing while maintaining the same monetary value.
