A little about me...
I adopted Jolene from the Humane Society of Wayne County 10 years ago. I work in their adoption center and Jolene was an opinionated kitten who really didn’t warm up to people very well. She was four months old and had been in the center another four months. She had just been interviewed for adoption by another lady, who felt that Jolene was not enough of a lap cat. After that interview I looked Jolene in the eyes and asked “Jolene, would you like to come home with me and be part of my family”. She did not slap me in the head, as was her custom, so I took that as a yes. 10 years later she still is a little unpredictable and will give me or my other cats a punch when she’s irritated with us. But she is a purring machine a sleeps next to me under my arm every night and I love her beyond words.
