Dozer, the middle dog pictured, came to the rescue at age 16 weeks because he was diagnosed with narcolepsy with cataplexy and his original owner didn't feel she would be able to care for him. He fit in perfectly from the second he arrived and has become quite the ambassador for dogs with disabilities. I have learned more than I ever thought I would about narcolepsy and they estimate that it affects only 1 in every one million dogs! It tends to be triggered by happiness and when he has an episode while playing, Hannah and Barrett just sit and wait for him to wake up so they can keep playing. He loves every person, child and dog he meets and has already worked with me in my training business to help train other dogs. Dozer is truly our one in a million dog!
