Adoption Story
In 2018, we lost our 2 dogs aged 13 and 11 within 7 days of each other and were heartbroken. No more dogs for us. We decided to foster and saw Prince at our first HAL foster event. We fell in love with Prince, a breeder release, at first sight. Home he came. Poor Dane was lost in the woods for months after his mom and siblings were rescued. A foster was persistent in trying to lure him with pepperoni which remains a favorite treat for him. He was so terrified we took him from transport in his crate. It took months for him to settle and we couldn’t part with him. He was home. Cash came to us as a temporary foster at the beginning of COVID, was adopted and returned due to no fault of his own. It was meant to be. He found his pack.
