Participation is easy: submit your favorite photo of your dog or cat and ask your family and friends to vote for them. Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines; those that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win. 100% of contest proceeds and calendar sales helps support the MISSION of Homeward Bound Animal Shelter:

The winners of the calendar contest will be determined by the top 13 entrants that earn the most votes.
The entry with the most votes (1st place winner) will win superior bragging rights, as well as the coveted cover photo for the 2026 Homeward Bound Animal Shelter Calendar! 2nd through 13th place winners will be featured as pet of the month in the calendar. The top 13 pets will be professionally photographed by Chaltron Photography for the 2026 calendar.

Reserve a grid space for just $12! This is not a contest entry — it's your chance to feature your pet in the calendar. A grid space will showcase a photo of your pet, and you get to choose the month and submit your favorite photo to be displayed.
Here’s how it works:
- Reserve a grid space in the calendar (grid space = blank spaces before or after the numbered squares).
- Pay just $12 per space.
- Choose the month and submit your photo.
- Photos will be cropped to a square ratio, so please select an image that fits.
Important: This is a purchase for a guaranteed spot in the calendar, not an entry into a contest. Each month has limited grid spaces, and they’re available on a first-come, first-served basis.
