Zillie is a Hope Animal Rescue alumnus. As you can see, she thinks she is a person. And she knows she is definitely a family member. We named her after a place where we are the happiest… A wonderful place on Ocracoke Island. She makes us feel so peaceful, just like when we are on the front porch at Zillie's. I had always said that I would never allow a dog to sleep in the bed… But Zillie is so incredibly sweet, I completely caved. She is the screensaver on my computer at work because coming home to her makes every day wonderful.
