Pet's Story or Bio
We acquired our handsome Hemi at 8 mos old from an online ad. What we didn't know was that this would really turn out to be a rescue from an abusive home. After we got him home, Hemi showed aggressive tendencies and an examination at the vet and xrays showed a cracked pelvis and loose bone fragments from being kicked. Due to his behavior, we weren't sure that we could keep him, but we decided he deserved a chance.
He did not trust us at first, but when he learned what is was like to be loved, he blossomed! He came out of his shell and in loving him, we found out how much he love he had to give back to us. He is 7 years old now and is a wonderful member of our family. He is still wary of strangers, but once he gets to know you, he loves you 200%. He loves being around our grandchildren and participates in tea parties and sleepovers! He loves being spoiled rotten, playing with other dogs, riding in the car, being a giant lap dog, and playing with his squeaky toys. He also loves to push things around with his nose and help open packages that come in the mail. He keeps us laughing with his silly antics.
Hemi is a true testament to the power of unconditional love, and we can't imagine our lives without him.
