"Boxer Basset Hound mix puppies regected by mother need home" was what I saw on Facebook. The only one remaining was the runt, who looked sickly, but I fell in love immedently. After begging my parents we went to the house that night and when we walked in, the woman handed me a puppy so small he could fit in my hands. I gently wrapped him in my flannel shirt and we went home. The first few weeks he slept with me and I fed him milk. We didn't think he was going to make it but as his personality and feet grew, I knew I had a best friend for life. Now I have a 4ft long, barely a foot tall 1 year old baby. He's blind in one eye, has basset hound front feet and boxer back feet, and big floppy ears. Most importantly, his personality is bigger than he is which is why he wears a bow tie. I love him with all my heart and even though he can't fit in my lap? He's still my little runt.
