Groot is a true superhero! Adopted through Houston Boxer Rescue, his origin (like his comic book parallel) is unknown. He is the gentlest of beasts with the strength of a thousand trees! His powerful tongue has been known to saturate his and friends and enemies beyond recognition, soaking them with a combination of love and tenderness. When asked about his super powers, he simply replies with: "I am Groot."...Powerful words indeed.
