We adopted Apollo when he was just 11 months old. He was found wandering around Moody Gardens—a lanky, wiggly mess of love and zoomies. Since then, he’s grown into a full-on legend.

He’s been through some stuff: heartworm (beat it), ACL injury (surgery + recovery like a champ), and countless squirrel-related heartbreaks. But nothing keeps this boy down for long.

This photo? That’s Apollo rocking his laser therapy goggles like it’s Fashion Week at the vet’s office. He needed them for his ACL recovery, but let’s be honest—he knows he looks good. The tail wags a little harder when he’s getting compliments.

Now nine years old, Apollo’s still got his boxer bounce (with a few more naps in between). He’s all about cuddles, food, and pretending not to hear you when you say “bath.” He gives every dog the signature “boxer side-eye,” then immediately becomes their best friend and wrestles like it’s the canine WWE. Also, he adores humans and snuggles like a pro.

He’s the heart of our home, our best decision ever, and living proof that rescue dogs give you way more than you could ever give them.
