Breastfeeding Story
Being an older First Time Mom, I was anxious I might have issues breastfeeding, but I was determined to try and make it a priority for my baby girl. In the hospital after delivery, it came in slowly. Once home, I pumped to try and encourage the milk to flow and release. I cried tears of joy when there was milk produced in a good quantity on the first try. I used the pump some in the beginning to provide additional feedings for her as well as freeze some but have not used it in several months- I have been exclusively breastfeeding my girl and she is now close to 5 months- I plan to keep going to provide her this essential nutrition. I love the experience and bonding it has provided us.
