Breastfeeding Story
Breastfeeding requires such trust. It is a journey with many unknowns. Before giving birth to my son breastfeeding seemed like it would be natural and easy. Who knew it could be so demanding? I remember going to my first La Leche League meeting and being so relieved I wasn't the only one exhausted and in pain. Over time there are consistently new questions and issues that come up as my baby grows. I've learned so much about faith in my body and my baby. I both love and am terrified by the way he gazes at me with such vulnerability and trust while he's nursing. He is 21 months now and shows no sign of declining interest in nursey time!
