Breastfeeding Story
I love being a mom that breastfeeds and feel proud of my accomplishments as the journey has not been easy. Starting with first daughter: I had low supply, jaundice, and low birth weight issues plus she made be bleed like 4x...BF caused so much pain that I thought worse than birth and I had C section! I recall I thought I was worst mom in world for not being able supply BF fully esp supplementing, but then realized feeding her was best. Somehow after triple feeding of BF, formula, and pumping nonstop, magically, she picked her feast of choice and only wanted boob and so I only could give that! Since she needed to eat, that's what I had to do and proudly for a year!!! So now with with my son, I hope to do the same, and the journey has not started so easily! At birth, he spent 5 days in NICU eating thru feeding tube and then we had to give him formula as he was jaundice! Then we discovered he had a tongue tie so we clipped it so he could feed better! After all that, at 3 months and 15 lbs later, I'm proud to say he's exclusively breastfeeding and hope the journey continues beyond!
