Why is your dog a hero?
Happy Cosmo (AKA Cosmo) is a 5-year-old Cavapoo with a heart of gold. He has red, white, and blue pulsating through his veins. He is an AKC Advanced Therapy Dog. He brings smiles and gives kisses to all that meet him and loves hugs in return. He readily gives comfort to people who are stressed and in need of TLC. He volunteers at Northridge Hospital and their Center for Assault Treatment. He comforts medical students before tests and is a member of the beloved PUP program (Pets Unstressing Passengers) at LAX. He has also assisted the Mayor's Crisis Response Team, which responds to the sudden loss of a loved one. . Every year we visit multiple fire-stations to remember those lost in 911. He also provided much-needed TLC at the Staging Area for the Woolsey Fire where firefighters from many western states came to assist our area. Cosmo was even tested in the smoke environment at the LAFD training facility in Panorama City and he breezed through with flying colors. You can count on Cosmo to lift the spirits and show unconditional love to the brave men and women of the LAFD. We would be honored to serve.
