Why is your dog a hero?
Blue is a Hero, because he is part of the Los Angeles City Fire Department Arson Counter Terrorism Section, ADC K-9 Blue is a 7-year-old Labrador retriever that has been in service since early 2015. I first met Blue back in November of 2015 at the ATF ADC National K-9 Academy Class 114 and we have been partners since. He is more vocal than other arson dogs but I attribute it to his outgoing personality and drive to find what we need to assist on our arson cases.
Blue is well-rounded K-9 that thrives in Arson Investigations, and education. As an arson K-9 Investigator, Blue has worked over 500 fire scenes ranging from homicides, structure fires, autos, wildland fires and during that time, the evidence he has found has led to hundreds of criminal arrests and civil penalties for insurance fraud cases. As an educator, Blue has done over 50 fire safety programs and demonstrations for elementary school and high schools and he is also part of the Los Angeles SAFE Program Stop Adolescent Fire setters with Education.
