Why is your dog a hero?
A fighter since birth, Big Rig has overcome many challenges and obstacles. He was born with a double cleft lip and palate, discarded like trash, and thankfully saved, along with his special needs brother Oliver, by a fantastic organization called Road Dogs and Rescue in Southern California. At a few months old, he was adopted into his forever home and has blossomed into a cheeky, confident and joyful little guy. We started a @bigrigthebaby Instagram account to spread awareness on the often-overlooked “Perfectly Imperfect” and to share in the joy from him living his #bestlife. His tens of thousands of friends and supporters send us deeply personal stories of happiness and inspiration they have received from both Big Rig’s antics and achievements. Big Rig spreads love and happiness everywhere he goes, and for that he is a Hero!
Big Rig was 2nd Runner Up in last year's LAFD Howling Heroes, and is thrilled to be back again to support the LAFD and raise funds for their canine therapy program.
