Why is your dog a hero?
Lady was rescued from a kill shelter after she was found on the streets of Bakersfield when she was just seven months old. Lady is four now, and since her adoption, she has been the most loyal companion, snuggle buddy, hiking partner, fierce protector, and best friend to her owner/mom Sarah.
Sarah brings Lady everywhere with her; even to work! Lady has become the office’s unofficial mascot and has made the workplace a much happier environment, now that everyone looks forward to seeing their favorite furry friend every day!
Lady is a German Shepherd-Husky mix, so she is extremely smart and energetic. Lady knows just about every trick in the book, but will do pretty much anything for a treat, so she’s always eager to show off her skills and learn new tricks.

Lady is a hero because, without even trying, she brings so much joy to everyone she comes across. She brightens the day, is pure sunshine-full of energy, silliness, hope, kindness, compassion, loyalty, friendship and love. Sometimes it's hard to see the good in this world, but Lady reminds us that you are never alone, you are loved, and there are so many beautiful reasons to be happy.
